Obituary
Betty J. Shonk, 73, Greensburg, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg.
Born, April 14, 1934 in Cumberland Co., Kentucky, she was the daughter of Howard John and Dora V. (Adams) Spears.
She was married to William H. Shonk on June 21, 1952 in Clarksburg, Indiana and he preceded her in death on May 2, 1995
She is survived by three sons, Jerry D. Shonk, Greensburg, Fred L. (Debrah) Shonk, Butler, Ky., Mark D. (Susie) Shonk, Greensburg; one daughter, Colinda L. Shonk, Columbia, Tn.; one sister, Nova Wright, Greensburg; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband; one daughter, Kathy D. Lockridge; five brothers, Hubert, Malcolm, Paul, Orville and James V. Spears; three sisters, Ruby Cain, Claudine Key and Shirley Ramsey.
Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. Friday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg with Rev. Harlan Cox officiating.
Interment will be held in the Kingston Cemetery in Kingston, Indiana.
Memorials may be made to the Decatur County United Fund.
