Obituary
Lessie ''Mom'' McInnis, 84, Palmetto resident for over 40 years, went to be with the Lord November 7, 2009.
She was a loving mother and grandmother, and had a strong faith in God. She was known throughout the community as ''Mom'' or ''the crab lady''. She worked at Palmetto Dry Cleaners and also was a dispatcher with the sheriff's dept in Jackson County, Florida.
She sold shrimp & crabs on Snead Island and developed many frienships while working on the docks. She loved her friends and family and the fellowships that she had in the community.
She is preceded in death by Clyde McInnis.
Survivors include her sons, John W. McInnis (Lana), Steve McInnis; daughter, Margaret ''Susie'' Trudeau (Mark); daughter-in-law, Millie Jochum (Don); step-sons, Butch McInnis, Bruce McInnis; brother, Dewey Durden (Flossie); seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; special friend, Anne Ruth Williams.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 10, 5-7 pm at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home. Service will be held Wednesday, November 11, 1:00 pm at the funeral home with burial at Skyway Memorial Gardens to follow.
