Obituary

Naugatuck – Mrs. Otelia “Tillie” P. “Pat” (Gaspar) Mariotti, 80, of Hazel Avenue, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 11, 2010 at Waterbury Hospital. She was the widow of John J. Mariotti. Mrs. Mariotti was born in Pawtucket, RI on March 28, 1929, a daughter of the late John and Louisa (Caetano) Gaspar. She lived most of her life in Naugatuck and graduated from Naugatuck High School. She retired from the Chemical Division of Uniroyal, Inc. where she worked for many years. She was a communicant of St. Vincent Ferrer Church. She leaves her son John J. Mariotti and his wife Ann Marie of Prospect; her daughter Joann E. Gabriel and her husband Noreo of Wolcott; her brother, John Gaspar of Naugatuck; her sister, Norma DiMichele and her husband Nick of Waterbury; her six grandchildren, Alicia Hanson and husband Gregg, Amy Gabriel, John, Christopher, Ryan, and Breanna Mariotti; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Glendale Health Center for the exceptional care that was given to Tillie. Her funeral will be held on Monday, February 15 at 9:45am from the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck to St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 1006 New Haven Road, Naugatuck for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck at the family’s convenience. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 5-8pm.
